Do you love K-pop, enjoy interacting with people, and have a passion for creating memorable fan experiences? Join the KPOP MINNECON team as a Product Associate and help showcase exciting products, engage with attendees, and represent our partners throughout the convention.

Position Details

As a Product Associate, you'll serve as the face of the brand by demonstrating products, distributing promotional samples, answering attendee questions, and creating a welcoming, energetic experience for thousands of K-pop fans.

Responsibilities

  • Represent KPOP MINNECON and partner brands professionally.

  • Greet attendees with a friendly, positive attitude.

  • Distribute product samples, promotional materials, and giveaways.

  • Demonstrate products and answer basic questions.

  • Encourage attendee engagement while maintaining a welcoming environment.

  • Keep the assigned booth or activation area clean, organized, and fully stocked.

  • Follow all event schedules and instructions provided by supervisors.

  • Communicate professionally with attendees, exhibitors, staff, and fellow team members.

  • Assist with light setup and breakdown of promotional materials if requested.

 

Qualifications

  • Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable speaking with the public.

  • Reliable with excellent attendance.

  • Professional appearance and positive attitude.

  • Strong communication and customer service skills.

  • Able to stand and walk for extended periods.

  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.

  • Passion for K-pop or convention events is a plus, but not required.

Rules & Expectations

By accepting a Product Associate position, you agree to the following:

 

Attendance

  • You must arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled shift.

  • You are required to complete your full 4-hour shift.

  • Failure to report for your scheduled shift without prior notice may result in removal from the event staff and ineligibility for future opportunities with MNKPOPCONNECT.

  • Excessive tardiness may result in dismissal from your shift.

 

Professional Conduct

  • Maintain a positive, professional, and respectful attitude at all times.

  • Treat attendees, vendors, exhibitors, guests, volunteers, performers, and staff with courtesy and respect.

  • Harassment, discrimination, bullying, profanity directed toward others, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.

  • Follow all instructions provided by supervisors and event management.

 

Work Ethics

  • Remain at your assigned location unless instructed otherwise.

  • Do not use your phone except during breaks or for work-related communication.

  • Do not consume alcohol or illegal substances before or during your shift.

  • Present yourself in clean, appropriate attire suitable for a family-friendly event.

  • Actively engage with attendees rather than sitting or appearing disengaged whenever possible.

  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming booth or activation area.

Convention Policies

  • Follow all venue safety rules and emergency procedures.

  • Wear your staff credential at all times while working.

  • Do not distribute unauthorized materials or sell personal merchandise.

  • Do not accept cash or payments unless specifically authorized.

  • Report any safety concerns, incidents, or emergencies immediately to event management.

  • Respect all convention attendees and contribute to an inclusive, welcoming environment.

Photography & Media Release

By accepting this position, you authorize MNKPOPCONNECT, KPOP MINNECON, Saint Paul RiverCentre and its partners to photograph, record, livestream, and film you while working during the event.

You grant KPOP MINNECON a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use your name, likeness, image, voice, and appearance in photographs, videos, livestreams, promotional materials, advertising, websites, social media, press releases, and future marketing campaigns without additional compensation.

All photographs, video recordings, and media captured by or on behalf of KPOP MINNECON remain the exclusive property of KPOP MINNECON.

Employment

 

This is a temporary event position and does not guarantee future employment with MNKPOPCONNECT. Event management reserves the right to modify schedules, assignments, or terminate participation for violations of these policies or other conduct deemed detrimental to the event.
