What is KPOP MINNECON?

KPOP MINNECON is Minnesota’s premier K-pop convention and concert experience, bringing together fans for a weekend filled with live performances, concerts, dance competitions, vendors, panels, random dance play, meet & greets, and community activities inspired by Korean pop culture.

When and where is KPOP MINNECON 2026?

KPOP MINNECON 2026 will take place on:

August 29–30, 2026 at the Saint Paul RiverCentre in Saint Paul, Minnesota.

What can I expect at the event?

Attendees can enjoy:

  • Random Dance Play (RDP) - All Day

Is this event family-friendly?

Yes! KPOP MINNECON welcomes fans of all ages. Some programming may have age recommendations, and minors should attend with a parent or guardian when appropriate.

Tickets and Entry

Tickets can be purchased through the official KPOP MINNECON website or through Ticket Master.

Will tickets be available at the door?

Limited tickets may be available onsite depending on capacity. We strongly recommend purchasing tickets in advance.

Are tickets refundable?

All ticket sales are final and non-refundable. Schedule, guests, and programming may change.

Do I need to print my ticket?

Digital tickets on your phone are typically accepted unless otherwise specified before the event.

Can I leave and re-enter the convention?

Yes. Attendees with valid badges/wristbands may leave and re-enter during convention hours.

Cosplay & Dress Code

Not at all! Many attendees cosplay, but it is completely optional. Come however you feel comfortable.

Is cosplay allowed?

Absolutely! Cosplay is encouraged at KPOP MINNECON.

Are prop weapons allowed?

Lightweight and non-functional props may be allowed depending on Saint Paul RiverCentre safety rules. Real weapons or dangerous props are strictly prohibited. Staff reserves the right to deny any prop for safety reasons.

Are there cosplay guidelines?

Yes. All costumes must remain appropriate for a public event environment. Excessively revealing outfits, unsafe costumes, or anything offensive/disruptive may not be permitted.

Can I take photos of cosplayers?

Yes — but always ask for permission before taking photos or videos of attendees.

Programming & Activities

Random KPOP Dance Challenge (RKDC) is an interactive fan activity where random K-pop songs are played and attendees jump in to dance when they know the choreography.

Will there be a dance competition?

Yes! KPOP MINNECON will feature dance competitions for soloists, duos, and dance crews.

How do I apply for the dance competition?

Applications and rules will be announced on the official website and social media pages closer to the event date.

Will there be panels and workshops?

Yes! Fans can attend community panels, workshops, discussions, and interactive sessions throughout the weekend.

Can fans host their own panels?

Yes! Panel applications are now open at the following link.

Will there be vendors?

Yes! The convention will feature vendors selling:

  • Albums

  • Photocards

  • Apparel

  • Plushies

  • Fan-made merch

  • Art prints

  • Accessories

  • Collectibles

  • Handmade goods

  • Unique products

  • Local merchandise

Do vendors accept cash or cards?

Most vendors accept cards, though carrying some cash is always recommended.

Will there be photocard trading?

Yes! Dedicated photocard trading spaces and fan meetup areas will be available.

Meet & Greets

Yes! Guest announcements will be released closer to the event date.

Are meet & greets included with admission?

No. Meet & greet events are not included in admissions and some events may require separate tickets or upgrades depending on the guest or activity.

Is there a code of conduct?

Yes. KPOP MINNECON is committed to providing a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for everyone. Harassment, discrimination, bullying, or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated and escorted out of the building.

Can I bring outside food or drinks?

Outside food is not permitted at the Saint Paul RiverCentre. 

What should I bring?

Recommended items include:

  • Your ticket or badge

  • Portable charger

  • Comfortable shoes

  • Cash/card

  • Photocards for trading

  • Small bag/backpack

  • Freebies for trading or giveaways

What items are prohibited?

  • Real weapons

  • Illegal substances

  • Dangerous props

  • Alcohol from outside vendors

  • Offensive signage or materials

  • Anything deemed unsafe by staff/security

I’ve never been to a convention before. What should I expect?

Expect a high-energy environment full of music, shopping, cosplay, dancing, fandom discussions, and community interaction. You can explore at your own pace and participate in as many activities as you’d like.

Is it okay to attend alone?

Absolutely! Many attendees come solo and meet new friends throughout the event.

How early should I arrive?

Arriving early is recommended for popular panels, performances, competitions, and special guest events.
